Root Industries have been involved in the sport of freestyle scooters for over 15 years and have the reputation for the highest quality products on the market.

In all extreme sports, like freestyle scootering, scooter equipment suffers damage as a direct result of participation in the sport.

Due to the inherent nature of the sport we offer the following warranty terms.

Warranty Terms and Conditions 

DECKS

Covered: Cracks or breakages caused by manufacturing fault or defect for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase.

Exclusions: Damage caused by external forces (e.g. damage caused to the deck through an impact on concrete, excessive grinding, or other damage caused to the deck). Brake, inserts, axles, spacers, and finishes (e.g. paint, anodizing, decals etc) are NOT COVERED under warranty.

BARS

Covered: Bending or breaking of the bar for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase. (1 month for aluminum bars and titanium).

Exclusions: Damage caused by external forces (e.g. damage caused to the bars through an impact on concrete, or other damage caused to the bars). Finishes (e.g. paint, anodizing, decals, etc) are NOT COVERED under warranty.

FORKS

Covered: Bending or breaking of the forks for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase.

Exclusions: Damage caused by external forces (e.g. damage caused to the forks through an impact on concrete, or other damage caused to the bars). Axles, shims, internal threads, spacers, finishes (e.g. paint, anodizing, decals, etc) are NOT COVERED under warranty.

WHEELS

Covered: Cracks or breakages to the core caused by manufacturing fault or defect for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase. Dehubbing of the wheel (must be a clean dehub where the PU has come completely away from the hub) for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase. Core ovalizing for a period of up to 3 months from the date of purchase.

Exclusions: Damage caused by external forces (e.g. damage caused to the wheels through impact on concrete, or any other damage caused to the wheels). Factory-fitted bearings, spacers, and finishes (e.g. paint, anodizing, decals etc) are NOT COVERED under warranty.

CLAMPS

Covered: Cracking or breaking of the clamps for a period of up to 3 months from date of purchase.

Exclusions: Damage caused by external forces (e.g. damage caused to the forks through impact on concrete, or other damage caused to the bars) Shims, internal threads, finishes (e.g. paint, anodizing, decals, etc) are NOT COVERED under warranty.

The following parts are not covered under any warranty:

GRIPS, GRIP TAPE, BEARINGS, HEADSETS, BOLTS AND BRAKES

All the above parts are not covered under a warranty but have a standard statutory life expectancy of a minimum 14 days. If any of the above products “fail” within 14 days, the manufacturer will agree to replace the product.

KICK AND PRO COMPLETE SCOOTERS are covered for a period of up to 3 months from date of purchase.

A manufacturer’s warranty will only cover a defect in the manufacturing process.
It does not cover damage inflicted by impact on the scooter. 

Any warranty is void on items that show clear misuse or damage caused by or related to improper riding technique. 
Assessments will be at the discretion of the product development team.

Water ingress/damage is not covered by warranty .

Any modification to a product will void the manufacturers warranty for that individual part as well as any associated parts. 

Damage, breakage, cracking or snapping of the product as a result of riding will not be covered under warranty! 

Making a Warranty Claim
If you feel that your product is faulty and a warranty claim is required, we aim to process your warranty claim as quickly and efficiently as possible.
